What is the best spot to catch a bass or walleye in a river?
I live right next to a river with a medium moving current. I was wondering what the best spots to catch a bass or walleye, or maybe even a northern would be? And what kind of bait and tackle would you suggest?
always the thing to look for in any water is structure. what this means is anything that breaks up the norm. a log out into the river, big rocks, a dip in the river bottom, a bend in the river, really anyything different is where the fish will hide. take small to medium sized spinners, black and silver and red , and spoons the same colors, and always a red and white spoon, small to medium size but small is best. it is deadly for all those fish and it saves carrying bait.
